Additional Anglers: How do I add on extra entries if I've already paid my fee? Boat Name: DO YOU NEED A BOAT NAME TO REGISTER? IS BRAND OF BOAT ACCEPTABLE. Communication: Gday there , I have fished a few TBFT's and was lucky enough to get to Hakula Lodge in Tonga last year through being in the comp. I will be up there again this year and have a suggestion that may save organisers and participants alot of time and effort. My idea is that the TBFT nominate a mobile phone number which would be manned by someone around the weigh master or tally board so that when an angler is out fishing and they catch a fish that they think may be worth weighing they give the mobile a quick call to see what has been weighed for that species to determine whether it is worthwhile to get back to weigh it or not. You could just get a prepaid phone card whack it in an phone and it could take anglers enquiries at no cost to the TBFT. The phone number could be included in the boat bag given out. This would save alot of fish being brought in to be weighed when there are already weighed fish in the top three places for that species so it would be a waste of everyone's time in getting them in to be weighed and the less fish having to be weighed for no result would make life easier for the guys on the scales as well. It also might see a few more fish released as well as not everyone has an adequate way of keeping them alive. This idea dawned on me a few comps ago when we had a semi decent flatty and made a long run to weigh it only to find out it was a long way from the mark to make an impression on the board. If we could've given someone a quick call to get an update of what flattys had been weighed would have seen the fish released, we wouldve had more fishing time and the TBFT staff wouldnt have to bother weighing extra fish. Best Regards CRAIG BEENCKE Congratulations: hi Tony, my name is Garrie Harris i recently won the boat & trailer package at your tournament at port stephens . this is a great prize and Glenn from sunshine pontoons was a great help registering them for me and then took my mate and myself out for lunch and a couple of drinks . i would like to take the time to thank you and your club for a great event , myself and a couple of mates came up 3 years ago and this year we had 15 of us from Penrith . a special thank you to , you , your club and your team of volunteers Garrie Harris Congratulations: Tony, Just a quick note to give a big thanks to you and the organisers of the tournament on a job well done. Once again it was a pleasure to attend and fish. You have excelled yourselves again. Many thanks and will see you 2010. Team Reel Easy. Crew Changes: I plan on fishing the TB. I am definitely fishing, however my 2 other crew are undecided. (wusses) If they bail I do have backup crew. If i register 3 people under their names, is it possible to change their names to backup crew on registration day? Only worried that if we weigh a fish or win a prize, people in the crowd would know that the person accepting the prize is not the name called. Thanks Dave Entries On-line: When entering online how do I nominate each fishermans name and the name of the boat? Entry Details: i have paid and filled out the application that is needed for the tournament but when filling out the question for the second entrant i didnt put the details in correctly i have put the first and second entrant as the same person and i need to fix it how do i do this i clicked on the link to go back and change details but it would not allow me to do this so im unsure if all details have gone through. Entry Fees: Is it true that you are asking $130.per senior in the 2009 comp. Why ???.With rising mortages, petrol and food dont you think it will make it hard for competitors to participate in what i think is a great compition. Extra Anglers: I have just entered a extra fisherman to my husbands boat but it did not ask me to add the fishermans details have i missed a step all it asked me for is cardholders details and boat and skipper details ORDER NUMBER 617 thanks hope Live Fish Weigh-in: Hi, just wondering why bream have to be weighed in alive, i feel it makes it difficult for those of us that are fishing the other side of the bay in tinnies, most of us don't have the facilities in our boats to do that and also time restraints as the weigh in is closed at 6pm and in bad weather it can take over 1 hour if we can get across at all. maybe i can suggest a weigh station in tea gardens or atleast a board so we don't have any unwanted fish kills. thanking you Aaron Marina Berths: Is there mooring spaces available? Marine Parks Hi Tony Grabbed a copy of the Port Stephens Marine Park Zoning Plan and it states that you require a permit for competition fishing. Can you please advise if this is required and how much it will cost if required. Thanks Also we entered via the net do we get any other comfirmation from you guys or just the email we received once we paid via credit card. Order Number 503 Thanks Marine Parks: More on the Marine Park. Looking at the map the habitat protection zone outside the heads is a no go zone for anything but trolling however the brochure says its ok for rec fishing in competition. What way do you go? Ian Pandelis Marine Parks: Tony, Looking at the map the habitat protection zone outside the heads is a no go zone for anything but trolling however the brochure says its ok for rec fishing in competition. What way do you go Ian Pandelis Photos: I was in the 2006 or 2005 comp and i caught a 17 kilo mulloway and you guys took photo's and i haven't seen them yet i was wondering if you are going to put them up? Photos: Tony, Could you clarify the website for the 2010 photographer. I can not access the link to the one on the TBFT website and from memory, I do not think it was the same one as you mentioned at presentation. Thanks again for the hard work. Another ripper tournament. Can't wait till 2011. Mark Simmons - Reel Easy. Photos: Tony, we had some photos taken on the saturday of the 2009 trailer boat tournament and we were told that we could purchase a cd of the tournament photos. just wondering how we could buy a copy of the disc as we couldnt get one on the sunday. Thanks sharon Photos: Tony. My son Joel (5 old) had his picture taken with a flathead on the Friday of last comp by a female organiser. I understand that there was most likely hundreds taken but was wondering how I might go about obtaining a copy? If it helps we fished from REEL EASY and the lady taking the photo took down these details. May I take the opportunity to thank you and everyone helping in organising this event. My family absolutely love it and are looking forward to many more. Points Tally: Hi Tony, My family fished in the tournament this year and had an absolutely wonderful weekend, the crew have already signed on again for next year. I have one question though about the "Champion Boat". This year champion boat was won with an overall score of 13 points, but our boat "Max" had a total of 15 points. So, we were wondering if you could clear up our confusion about the allocation of the champion boat title? Thanks for another fantastic tournament! Hope to hear from you soon. Karen Maxwell and the crew of "Max" Registation: When checking in at official tent, can one angler register for all the crew, or does each crew member have to register themselves? Shameful 2010 Event: To The Organisers, What a shame that as a result of this years event you will loose 5 boats and 16 fisho's from your comp not to mention who they might speak to. This was my first time, and last in the comp and only went upon invitation of mates. Once we got there and recieved the bag of recycling and a "plastic toy boat" one of the lads piped up and said, "hope the shirts are not the same crap as last year." How right he was. I ordered a XXXL Polo shirt and paid $30.00 for a $2.00 bangladesh made t shirt that was fully sponsored and more than likely did not cost you anything. Absolute shit!!! I can buy "kokoda" fishing shirts for $30.00. It just went down hill from there, cartons of soft drink as "lucky draw prizes" Please! Later the other fisho's confirmed the decline in the events quality over the last few years. Considering the number of competitors, the money you have collected and the sponsorship linked with the event, what a rip off. Get some delegates up to Evans head and see how a competition is run. You can say what ever you like but feedback is feedback . My registration no was 1104. We will all be running our own internal comp next year saving a fortune and still enjoying the fishing. What a shame. Jeff Budd Species: hi iam thinking about entering your competition but i would like to know why you have tailor witch are mostly cought of the beach and Luderick and drummer witch are fished for off the rocks in a trailerboat compertition and you dont have pearl pearch , pig fish thankyou Tournament Rules: Hi just wanted to check on what happens with registration deposit if the competition gets cancelled due to weather, and does the comp get postponed? Thankyou, Matt. T-Shirt Sizes: Unsure what size shirt I want, can we by merchandise onsite at the comp.
